As all Mac owners are aware, it is not possible to use the Nokia Map Loader to download the maps to your phone. Following this method below will allow you to install the maps on your phone. It also applies to all those who have encountered problems with connection speed while using MapLoader on their PCs. This method will definitely speed up the whole process.
Before you do anything, make sure you have used the Maps program on your mobile once and have connected to GPS. Also remember to change in Maps options to read your Memory Card (if you have already done this you don't need to do it again).
then:
1. Download the map file first.
2. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable, on the phone select MASS STORAGE mode
3. You should now have a memory card icon on your desktop
4. Browse the memory card for a folder called 'Private' open the folder and look for another folder called '20001f63'
5. If you found it go all the way back to the 'Private' folder then unzip the file you downloaded and copy the '20001f63'  folder to your "Private' folder. You will be asked whether you wish to overwrite the existing folder, just say yes.
6. Once all the files have copied, eject your N95 from the computer and try it out. Hopefully you will now be able to access the maps. Make sure that in the settings for your Maps program you have set the 'Use network' option to 'Never'.
